Je suis sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans le d\u00e9veloppement cognitif (ma th\u00e8se portait sur <a href=\"http:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1111\/j.1467-7687.2005.00430.x\/abstract\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">les effets sp\u00e9cifiques du langage sur le calcul des nombres chez les tout-petits<\/a> ). Les performances, les limites et les biais du cerveau humain ne cesseront jamais de me fasciner.<\/p>\n\n<p>Je suis fondatrice du <a href=\"http:\/\/gameuxsummit.com\">GDC UX Summit<\/a> et curatrice pour le GDC UX Summit, donc je suis toujours \u00e0 la recherche de conf\u00e9renciers et conf\u00e9renci\u00e8res int\u00e9ressants pour parler de Game UX pour les conf\u00e9rences que j&rsquo;aide \u00e0 organiser.<\/p>\n\n<p>Avoir un \u00e9tat d&rsquo;esprit UX signifie donner la priorit\u00e9 aux humains&nbsp;; placer les int\u00e9r\u00eats des utilisateurs (joueurs) au-dessus des objectifs commerciaux. C&rsquo;est pourquoi je me soucie des questions d&rsquo;\u00e9thique et ai lanc\u00e9 l&rsquo;initiative <a href=\"http:\/\/ethicalgames.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ethical Games<\/a> avec des universitaires et des d\u00e9veloppeurs de jeux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<strong>2005 &#8211; 2009<\/strong><br \/><p>J&rsquo;ai grandi en jouant \u00e0 beaucoup de jeux, y compris des jeux vid\u00e9o ; \u00e0 cause de cela, je me suis sentie attir\u00e9e par l&rsquo;industrie du jeu apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;obtention de mon doctorat (qui m&rsquo;a \u00e9galement appris que le jeu est essentiellement au d\u00e9veloppement, notamment cognitif). J&rsquo;ai rejoint <strong>Vtech<\/strong> , un fabricant de jouets et de jeux \u00e9ducatifs, en 2005. <\/p>\n\n<p>En 2008, j&rsquo;ai commenc\u00e9 une qu\u00eate passionnante sur la fa\u00e7on dont les sciences cognitives peuvent aider \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience des joueurs au sein du groupe de r\u00e9flexion <strong><em>Strategic Innovation Lab<\/em> <\/strong> d&rsquo;Ubisoft (Ubisoft HQ, France). J&rsquo;ai travaill\u00e9 plus sp\u00e9cifiquement avec le d\u00e9partement &lsquo;Games for Everyone&rsquo;, sur la s\u00e9rie <em>My Coach<\/em> pour Nintendo DS. J&rsquo;ai \u00e9galement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une session de formation explorant comment le cerveau apprend pour <strong>la Design Academy d&rsquo;Ubisoft.<\/strong> Le but principal \u00e9tait d&rsquo;aider les concepteurs \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer les tutoriels et l&rsquo;utilisabilit\u00e9 (prise en main) de leurs jeux <\/p>\n\n\n\n<strong>2009 &#8211; 2013<\/strong>\n<p>J&rsquo;ai rejoint <strong>Ubisoft Montr\u00e9al<\/strong> et travaill\u00e9 dans le d\u00e9partement Playtest Lab pour me concentrer sur la recherche et l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience utilisateurs. J&rsquo;ai men\u00e9 des recherches et particip\u00e9 \u00e0 des discussions sur la conception de nombreuses franchises Ubisoft, telles que <em>Rainbow 6<\/em> , <em>Driver<\/em> , <em>Assassin&rsquo;s Creed<\/em> , <em>Far Cry<\/em> et <em>Watch Dogs<\/em> . Plus tard, j&rsquo;ai travaill\u00e9 chez <strong>LucasArts<\/strong> sur <em>Star Wars : 1313<\/em> et <em>Star Wars : First Assault<\/em> (et certains jeux iOS) pour les voir annul\u00e9s lorsque le studio LucasArts a \u00e9t\u00e9 ferm\u00e9 en 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<strong>2013 &#8211; 2017<\/strong><br \/><p>J&rsquo;ai rejoint <strong>Epic Games<\/strong> en tant que directrice de l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience utilisateurs afin de d\u00e9velopper les pratiques et la strat\u00e9gie UX du studio. J&rsquo;ai surtout travaill\u00e9 sur <strong><em>Fortnite<\/em><\/strong> (essentiellement le mode \u00ab\u00a0Sauver le Monde\u00a0\u00bb), mais aussi sur Unreal Engine 4, <em>Paragon<\/em>, <em>Battle Breakers,<\/em> <em>Spyjinx<\/em>, <em>Robo Recall<\/em> (VR) et d&rsquo;autres projets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2017 &#8211; Aujourd&rsquo;hui<\/strong>\r\nJ&rsquo;ai quitt\u00e9 Epic Games en octobre 2017 pour devenir consultante ind\u00e9pendante. Je travaille aujourd&rsquo;hui avec des entreprises du monde entier sur des jeux vid\u00e9o UX et d&rsquo;autres projets.
